Asiatischer Fußballverband
Der Asiatische Fußballverband (Asian Football Confederation, kurz AFC) ist einer der sechs Kontinentalverbände, die dem Weltverband FIFA angehören. Die Aufgaben des AFC sind vergleichbar mit denen des europäischen Verbandes UEFA.

Wettbewerbe
Unter anderem werden folgende Wettbewerbe von der AFC ausgerichtet:
- AFC Asian Cup - Wettbewerb für Nationalmannschaften
- AFC Youth Championship - Wettbewerb für Jugendnationalmannschaften
- AFC U-17 Championship - Wettbewerb für U-17-Nationalmannschaften
- AFC Champions League - Wettbewerb für Vereinsmannschaften aus den 14 stärksten Verbänden
- AFC Cup - Wettbewerb für Vereinsmannschaften aus den übrigen Verbänden
Hinzu kommt die Qualifikation für die Endrunde um die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft
Mitgliedsverbände
Der AFC gehören 45 Landesverbände an; der älteste ist der Verband Singapurs, der - 1892 gegründet - älter ist als der Deutsche Fußball Bund - DFB (gegründet 1900). Derzeit strebt Australien eine Mitgliedschaft im AFC an.

- Israel, Kasachstan, Russland, Zypern, die Türkei sowie die Kaukasusrepubliken Armenien, Aserbaidschan und Georgien, die (ganz oder mehrheitlich) in Asien liegen, sind Mitglieder der UEFA.
- Papua-Neuguinea ist Mitglied des Ozeanischen Verbandes.
