Francisco Varela

Francisco Varela (* 7. September 1946 in Santiago de Chile; † 28. Mai 2001 in Paris) war ein chilenischer Biologe und Philosoph, der, zusammen mit Humberto Maturana, vor allem für die Einführung des Konzepts der Autopoiese und die Begründung des radikalen Konstruktivismus' bekannt wurde.
