Steve Morse
Steven J. Morse (* 28. Juli 1954 in Hamilton / Ohio) ist der Gründer der Dixie Dregs und gilt als einer der technisch perfektesten Gitarristen überhaupt. Er studierte an der University of Miami's School of Music und wurde fünfmal hintereinander zum Guitar Player of the Year gewählt. Neben der Steve Morse Band spielt er seit 1996 bei Deep Purple als Nachfolger von Joe Satriani. Charakteristisch für sein Spiel ist die absolut akkurate Wechselschlagtechnik, die er fast durchgehend benutzt, sowie sein weites, schnelles Vibrato.
