Werdegang
Ab 1964 spielten die Animals in London. Ihre Musik war stark von Folk und Blues geprägt. Ihre erste Single war eine Cover-Version von Bob Dylans Baby Let Me Follow You Down. Die nächste Single The House of the Rising Sun wurde ein Riesenerfolg, auch in Amerika. Es folgten die Singles I'm Crying, Bring It On Home To Me und We Gotta Get Out Of This Place.
Ab 1966 trat die Band unter dem Namen Eric Burdon and the Animals auf (auch bekannt als The New Animals) und produzierte Hits wie San Francisco Nights und Monterey. 1969 brach die Band schließlich auseinander.
